The Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) is an independent actuarial consultancy working within government. We provide actuarial advice to a wide range of public sector and private sector organisations, throughout the UK and internationally.
Although constituted as a government department, we operate as a consultancy firm within the public sector, offering independent actuarial advice to our clients and charging fees for our services. We are a non-profit organisation, so our fee rates are set solely to meet our costs.
